A $200 upgrade from the high-end 15" iMac gets you 20GB more HD space, an upgraded video card, and a 17" widescreen display, but if you're looking to purchase just a monitor, you'll need to shell out $400 to move up from the 15" Apple Studio Display to its 17" counterpart.

At this point, the 17" widescreen is used exclusively on the iMac, so it seems like it'd be a pretty expensive piece of equipment. I'm curious to see if a change in the Studio Display line follows soon, but I'm not holding my breath for a price cut.
